French dairy farmer and cheese maker Gildas LeBehoc is doing just that by using smart phone technology.

Every morning, LeBehoc spray paints his cows with a QR Code, a two dimensional ‘quick response’ code that can be read by a smart phone. The code is linked to a simple online game, whose prize is a free sample of LeBehoc’s products or a T-shirt.

The response to the marketing experiment has been overwhelming, with customers scaling fences and dodging cowpats for a shot at the game.

This amazing but true story is taken as reported on page 40 of the February / March issue of “Australian Dairy Foods”.

We are not suggesting that you spray your cows but given that this novel implementation is working for Gildas LeBehoc possibly you should consider using QR Codes in your next venture. It is actually very, very easy to make contact with the whales ~ whale consciousness is not bound by time and space ~ to some degree it iz even more easy to contact them than dolphins ~ since these Elders from the First World have been here for so long their frequency has become background noise ~ their frequency is very easily hooked into ~ simply before you go to sleep at night imagine the great body of a whale, itz vastness, itz smoothness, and itz wise and gentle eyes ~ imagine youself with it swimming in a deep ocean ~ feel the smoothness of its body as it passes through the water swimming gently ~ become a whale in your imagination ~ this will open the doors necessary for you to begin communication with this sentient being ~ communication will most likely first occur in the dream state ~ you may not even recognize it as communication from the whales for it may take different form in the dream ~ i would suggest that before anyone does a project of communicating with whales physically that you first do this exercise if possible, for months before you go to sleep ~ then go out in the field ~ or those of you who wish to explore this form of profound communication you are in for some wonderful and miraculous surprises!~~

Dolphin Consciousness

I’ve seen numerous statistics on whale and dolphin brains, unfortunately these are the kinds of statistics that people get emotional about and hence tend to exaggerate ~ several smart science authors I trust have repeated this general point ~ neuron counts in the neocortex are about ten times higher in humans than chimps, about the same in humans and bottlenosed dolphins, and some whales have up to ten times as many as humans ~ of course neurons have synapses, around 5000 per in humans (increasing with age) and I haven’t seen numbers on cetacean or sirenian synapse counts ~~

What ‘consciousness’ is, of course, is not a question we have one solid answer to ~ symbolic reasoning may be a better characteristic to consider ~ those who argue against animal reasoning typically cite primate research and ignore dolphin research ~ dolphins have certainly been shown to have the capability of understanding sentence structure and prepositional relations ~~

For me, if the preponderance of evidence suggests that whales and dolphins may be conscious, we shouldn’t be murdering them ~ since we can identify the neocortex as the seat of consciousness, or at least symbolic reasoning, and we can observe a rough correlation between cortical complexity and behavioral complexity I think it’s rather obvious that we should look before we leap/kill for the two classes of animals with neocortices similar in complexity to humans ~ dolphins and whales ~~

After millions and millions years of evolution these biological entities have developed sentience and forms of intelligence that reach far beyond our limited linear processing and intellectualized reality paradigms.

Whales and dolphins have evolved sensory apparatus for millions of millennia and have had free reign on our water planet, an abundance of food, no predators for the most part and their primary activities consist of playing, eating and sex ~ hmm, not a bad life after all lol ~~ 

Our aquatic cousins have lived in perfect harmony and balance for eons of time ~ maybe we can learn something from them but the fact of the matter is we know next to nothing about this sublime species of mammal that chose to leave the land and go into the ocean nearly fifty million years ~~

Cetaceans possess consciousness on an entirely different level than humans ~ their complex brains and stems are larger and more convoluted than ours ~ neurophysiologists believe that indicates high intelligence and although humans have been unable to establish a way of speaking to dolphins, some captive dolphins have learned over fifty human words ~~

Cetaceans evolved the ability to be completely aware of every moment of their existence through the biological imperative, breathing ~ they are conscious breathers and have the capability of shutting down portions of their large brains in order to rest ~ you might say they've developed the ability to be half asleep while the other half keeps an eye out and surfaces to take the next gulp of air ~ that means for the most part they are totally present and aware all the time ~~

We humans struggle against all kinds of distractions and only end up with something like 10% cognitive awareness even on a good day ~ the rest of the time we are simply walking in our sleep ~ unconscious of the world around us even while we drive a car ~~

Cetaceans have developed ways and means to deal with a much wider spectrum of waveforms/frequencies than we can even imagine ~ these subtle realms are beyond our ability to measure and for the most part itz beyond our general comprehension ~ itz been speculated by a few forward thinkers that cetaceans have access to other dimensions of existence beyond our restricted notions of a fixed universe of time and space ~~

Mathematic models demonstrate multiple dimensions of nine, twenty-seven, sixty-four and more ~ some even describe thousands of possible dimensions while others advocate an infinite number of alternative realities or a multiverse ~ the really kewl part about this is that dolphins and whales seem to have accessed these realms from a nonintellectual approach ~~

'Twas the night before christmas;
