Andrew Marshall

Often compared to the likes of James Taylor and Don McLean, Australian songwriter and performer Andrew Marshall combines stirring vocals with earthy, acoustic instrumental textures.

Andrew infuses elements of folk, roots and rock into his intimate live shows, drawing in audiences with his creative instrumentation and lyrical storytelling. His use of the didgeridoo is influenced by traditional styles of play and inspired by his travels in the Australian outback.

Andrew has performed shows and festivals around the UK including regular live performances on commercial stations Exeter FM and BBC Radio. He achieved number 1 chart positions on Radio Free South West in July 2008 and February 2009, and was a finalist in the Australian songwriting Musicoz Awards in 2010 and 2012.

Now based in Tasmania, Andrew can be found performing live shows around various parts of the country. He recently escaped the 2011 southern winter with an outback tour around the Kimberley, MacDonnell Ranges, and northern Flinders Ranges.

Andrew is currently recording his second studio album. One of the tracks from the album (unreleased) will soon feature as the soundtrack to an Australian documentary.
